Ensure Compliance with an LEV Testing Contract
What Constitutes an LEV System?
An LEV system, short for Local Exhaust Ventilation, serves to control, capture, or contain airborne contaminants like dust or fumes at or near the emission point. It then channels these pollutants to a safe collection point for filtration or release into the atmosphere. The effectiveness of an LEV system hinges on proper design, construction, usage, and regular maintenance, including routine inspections.
How We Can Assist You
Drawing on over 26 years of expertise, LEV Supply boast engineers accredited with the BOHS P601 qualification for Commissioning and Thorough Examination of LEV Systems. Our surveys adhere to COSHH regulations 7 & 9 and align with Health & Safety Executive guidance (HSG258).
Our Local Exhaust Ventilation testing process is meticulously designed to assess the efficiency and integrity of extraction systems. By employing airflow instruments, smoke tests, and dust lamps, our engineers obtain quantitative measurements and qualitative assessments. Leveraging extensive experience, we identify design flaws, defects, and maintenance issues that could compromise the performance of an LEV system.
Upon completing onsite LEV testing, we provide a comprehensive report detailing survey findings, along with relevant comments and recommendations for any necessary remedial work.
LEV testing should occur at least once every 14 months, with certain systems requiring more frequent testing. Once the survey is finalised and the test report issued, your organisation is added to our database. We also send a timely reminder one month before the re-test date, facilitating smooth planning for the next examination.
